DIY Lego Easter Basket for Kids!
As a STEAM teacher, I love all things LEGO! As I was looking at Easter decor at Target, I thought: “how cool would it be to create a building-themed Easter basket that you could actually build on?!” To my shock and surprise, there is not a LEGO Easter basket (yet!) so I decided to DIY my own!
Here’s what I used to create mine:
10” baseplate from the Dollar Tree
pink round LEGO pieces (extras from a kit)
This DIY takes minutes to make! Use E-6000 glue to attach the baseplate to the front of your basket (make sure the handles are on the sides!) If you have them, use clothespins to hold it in place while the glue dries. I had some extra round pink legos from a LEGO Art Kit, so I decided to create a heart design on the front! You could also use letter legos to spell your child’s name!
Fill the basket with building-inspired items! Here are some of the items I added to my basket:
Building Brick Sipper from the Dollar Tree
Kinetic Sand from Target
Building Brick Easter Egg from Target (Bullseye’s Playground)
This DIY Easter Basket inspired me to create some other themed baskets! Stay tuned for my next basket idea!!
